Jesus is Jubilee!
September brought in Jubilee, but this was no ordinary Juiblee. It was the 70th Jubilee since Joshua led the children of Israel into the promised land. It marked a time of celebration for the Jews because God gave them their long awaited inheritance. God established four special provisions of Jubilee. School's Out: I Can Rest!
School got out today and boy am I glad! Finally, I can get some much needed rest. The kids were happy and I was too. It was a mutual parting. Gifts were given, greeting cards exchanged, and lots of hugs and goodbyes were doled out. I was extremely glad to drive off the parking lot today, knowing that for the next two weeks I am free to do whatever I want, which is to simply rest. I thought this day would never get here!
