Where are the Watchmen?

December 12, 2015

"Cry loud and spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgressions, and the house of Jacob their sins. "  (Isaiah 58:1)  God spoke to the Prophet Isaiah and commanded him to cry loud and spare no,t as a true watchman.  Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel were all true watchmen.  They worked for God and did exactly what He said.  They cried out against the sin of the people of their day without respect of persons.  They cried out against kings, and leaders.  They put their lives on the line, but they were not afraid, because they knew they were doing what God had commanded them to do.  They feared God, not man.

Where are the watchmen of today?  Most of the so-called prophets of our day are pouring sweet, sugary messages to cause the people of God to be at ease in Zion.  The pastors and prophets of today are compromising to keep members.  They are afraid to preach the full counsel of the bible because they want to be politically correct, not offending anyone.  Jesus offended the religious rulers of his day, simply by telling them the truth.  Where are the true watchmen of our day, who will boldly declare what God is saying to the Church in this last hour?  These are perilous times as well as the last and evil days.  The Church is asleep but, We have no business to be sleeping in this hour.  Where are the watchmen of today?

The role of a watchman is to "cry loud and spare not" to warn the people of impending danger. The watchman sits high upon the wall or in a tower.  This gives him a vantage point so he can see afar off.  If an enemy or predator is approaching, the watchman sees it before it gets near and is able to warn the gatekeeper below to "close the gate."  The gatekeeper in turn closes all openings to fortify the city and keep everyone safe.   There is an enemy on the horizon.  Many of God's true prophets have openly declared this.  I, myself, have heard the voice of Almighty God concerning this, but the gatekeepers ( government leaders and pastors) are not listening and therefore our gates are wide open, giving the enemy unlimited access to us as a nation.

A good friend of mine who is a mighty prophetess, said God showed her four things about our nation while she was reading Lamentation 2:9.  "Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her kings and her princes are among tghe Gentiles: the law is no more, her prophets also find no vision from the Lord."

1.  This means that our borders are wide open and unprotected.  Anyone, including our enemies can come right on in. Only a fool would not lock his doors to protect himself and his family in times like these.  The days of sleeping with your doors unlocked and windows opened are long gone.

2.  Our so-called spiritual leaders are among the Gentiles (heathens).  This means they are compromising and trying to fit in with the world.  Plainly put, the Church is sleeping with the enemy!

3.  The law is no more.  We have erased the law of God from every public place in this country as an attempt to erase it from the minds of the people.  The law of this land was founded on the ten commandments, but we've wiped it from our eyes, as if it were a "detestable thing."  We've perverted God's word and "framed mischief by a law."  Psalm 94:20

4.  Our prophets have "no vision" from the Lord.  The false prophets have been "talking loud and saying nothing", because they are not hearing from God.  They are deceiving God's people by the thousands, leading them further into apostacy, as never before. The church has been lulled to sleep by these "soothe-sayers" who for hire, will prophe-lie to anyone anywhere.  They sell themselves to the highest bidder, is their modus operandi.  They don't care about souls or the spiritual condition of God's people; for they work only for "filthy lucre".  This is exactly what Balaam did.

It amazes me how accurately they can "see" houses, cars, money and land coming to the people who give them large offerings, but they can't "see" the enemy that is lurking on the horizon.  It's very simple; they are oviously not hearing from God.  There is no vision from the Lord.  Where are the watchmen of our day?  Wake up the mighty men of God for they have surely fallen asleep on the job!
